Movin' on up

So tomorrow I travel down to Accra to get a filling fixed and to pick up medicine for Shisto (is a worm in your blood...no lasting damage if treated early...don't worry mom), and then Nivole and I start our LONG trip UP to Upper East region of Ghana to hang out with a PCV there and check out that area and then cross to Burkina Faso and travel for a couple days up to Mali and over to Dogon Country for 4 days of hiking between the remote villages.  Then to Segou to meet a current PCV there and check out the mudcloth (Bogolan) making process and then back DOWN through Burkina into Ghana.

Most looking forward to:
yogurt
mudcloth
hiking in the desert/Sahel
cool cliff dwellings
possible masked/stilt ceremonies
Nivole hiking for 4 days :)
sleeping on the roofs and looking at the stars
meat

Most not looking forward to:
a shit ton of time on buses practically every day
Nivole hiking for 4 days...we'll see if she really reads my blog or not :)
Not being able to speak French or Bambra
No fufu

I'll post once I get back to Ghana.  Hope you all are doing well!  Me and my groups are looking forward to all those Christmas orders...and I promise I'll get it together and get the paypal thing rolling...technology takes time here...
love,
j
